Standing at an average 5ft 5in, with a cheeky glint in her deep brown eyes we have Kara Tointon – a girl who is anything but average. She was brought into the world on August 5th 1983 in a small close-knit town called Southend-On-Sea in Essex. Ambitious and confident from an early age, Kara often made up her own words for things and was always amusing those around her with her random and creative moods. If she wasn’t an actress she would have attended art college. During her teenage years she attended a private school with only 12 people in her entire year. It was here she made friends for life.

At the tender age of 7 Kara began her acting career. She attended speech and drama lessons at school and she also took part in LAMDA examinations, entering local musical festivals doing poetry recital. Her first proper acting experience came when she played the part of Birgita in The Sound of Music at the Cliffs Pavillion. Shortly after that her first paid job was as one of the children in the pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Her first appearance on television was as an extra in Eastenders.

Not only is she a wonderful actress but she is also highly trained in dance, specializing in Aerobics, Ballet, Bass-Baritone, Cabaret Singing, Choreography, Contemporary, Jazz and Tap. In her spare time she enjoys painting, swimming and skiing. She is a girl with endless talents.

But Kara often likes to take a step back from the limelight to spend time with her family and friends who she strives to spend as much time with as possible. Her mother and younger sister Hannah in particular, who recently moved away from Essex to London to be closer to her. Kara is also a keen shopper and likes to spend hours at a time rooting around London for rare, one-off outfits. Fading into the background isn’t her style.

2004 has been a great year for Kara. Not only did she appear in Mile High but she has recently returned to her former Dream Team role as Gina Milliano. Kara longed for a regular role in a hit TV show and it looks like her dream maybe have come true.

Biography and Career :

At the tender age of 7, Alicia was introduced to the piano. She studied classical music from Beethoven, Mozart, and Chopin (which was her favorite) and delved into such jazz greats as Marian McPartland, Oscar Peterson and Fats Waller.

The road to success wasn’t an easy one. Born to a white mom, Terri Augello, and a black dad, Craig Cook, she grew up in Hell’s Kitchen, New York. “It was kind of a cool spot, but 42nd Street then was no heaven. Prostitutes, pimps, drug dealers,” recalls Keys. To cope with the street life, Alicia turned to piano-playing at the age of 7.

Alicia Keys attended the Professional Performing Arts High School and rehearsed
with vocal coach Conrad Robinson at the Harlem Police Athletic League Community center until at age 16. During this time, Alicia graduated as her high school valedictorian and was accepted to attend Columbia University. Conrad introduced Keys to his brother Jeff, Alicia’s ‘batman”, who began searching for the right label.

When she was 14 she wrote her first song “Butterflyz” which is featured on her latest album “Songs in A Minor.” Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Nina Simone, Donny Hathaway, were all her inspirations as were Biggie, Tupac, Jay-Z and Wu Tang. Alicia Keys took all of those different genres of music and rolled them all into one, to create a style all her own.

She released her first album, Songs in A Minor, in 2001. Alicia Keys was only 20 years old. The album featured the hit singles “Fallin’” and “Girlfriend” and rocketed Keys to stardom. (Her good looks — she’s of African and Italian descent — helped, too.) She won five Grammy awards in 2002, including Best New Artist and Song of the Year for “Fallin’.” Keys also has been a prolific soundtrack artist, recording songs for movies such as Men in Black (1997), Shaft (2000) and Dr. Doolittle 2 (2001).

Kelly Brook (born Kelly Ann Parsons on November 23 1979) is an English model, television presenter, actress, and swimwear designer.
Biography

After leaving school in Rochester, Brook studied at the Italia Conti stage school in London for three years before becoming a professional model.

She is currently engaged to actor Billy Zane, having previously dated actor Jason Statham.
Model

Brook’s modelling career began at 16 after winning a beauty competition, her early work was in a range of advertising campaigns, including for the new “Bravissimo” company that specializes in bras and lingerie for full-figured women, and for Foster’s beer. Brook is 5 feet, 8 inches (172 cm) tall, and her voluptuous figure (Brook’s bust measures 32E) caught the eye of the editorial team of the Daily Star who began featuring her as a page three girl.

Brook’s picture soon began appearing in other lad mags such as FHM (repeatedly landing in its list of the “100 Sexiest Women of the Year”) and Loaded. In 1997, still barely 18, Brook started getting work presenting youth television programmes on MTV, Granada and Trouble TV.

Brook had a breakthrough into mainstream presenting in January 1999 when she was chosen to replace Denise van Outen as the female half of The Big Breakfast presenting team, alongside Johnny Vaughan. Brook remained for half a year and then parted company with the show in July 1999 after resigning.

Brook picked up roles presenting for MTV again.
Actress

Brook has appeared in minor roles in a string of movies including Sorted and Ripper. She played the girlfriend of Clark Kent/Superman’s best friend Lex Luthor in four episodes of Warner Brothers’ Smallville during the show’s first season (2001 – 2002). She has also completed assignments as a movie actress in Canada and made a short appearance as Lyle’s girlfriend in the 2003 movie The Italian Job. In 2004 she played character Nikki Morris in the video game Need for Speed Underground 2, alongside Brooke Burke. Brook first starring role was in School for Seduction, a 2004 film.

In 2005 she appeared in the Philippe Vidal film House of 9, a thriller about nine seemingly unconnected strangers captured and locked in a house together. The people are forced to compete against one another, in order to survive.

She recently starred in a Miss Marple drama on ITV. She caused a minor controversy over her most recent film Survival Island (previously known as Three), in which she co-starred with fiancé Zane, when Brook and Zane requested her scenes be excised from the final cut, which the producers refused to do.
Theatre work

In December 2000, she played Anya, a lap dancer in the play Eye Contact at the Riverside Theatre in Hammersmith, London UK. This role gathered considerable tabloid publicity as the finale of the show involved Brook stripping naked.
