Lucia Tovar is drop-dead gorgeous and earns a living by wearing little or nothing. Rosie O’Donnell could do the same, but she doesn’t ooze sex appeal and would fail where Lucia achieves greatness. Need more convincing that Lucia is sexy? Lucia tells of a time when, at a pool party, she pulled off the tight shorts that covered her bikini, and her bikini bottom accidentally came down with them. She was embarrassed at first, but quickly concluded that since everyone had seen her naked in pictures, she had nothing left to lose — except her bikini top.

Lucia may have an air of the exotic about her, but at heart, she’s just an old-fashioned romantic. She likes all the classic elements: a candle-lit dinner, a little R&B on the stereo, and sipping red wine by the fireplace. And since Lucia isn’t attached, we seriously doubt that she has any trouble finding company — even if the bed has to be shared with Lucia’s cocker spaniel, Tigger.

Lucia Tovar has come a long way in a few short years. She started out as a Hooters waitress and went on to be a spokesmodel for Hawaiian Tropic and a model for Playboy. Now she has a professional modeling career and has her own successful website. That would be enough of an accomplishment in itself, but Lucia first had to overcome growing up poor in Colombia, followed by a lot of work and sacrifice just to get to the U.S. to make her dreams come true. If Lucia Tovar doesn’t represent the perfect argument in favor of immigration reform, we don’t know who does.

Certainly, Lucia Tovar isn’t a particularly famous model or pinup girl, but there’s no doubt that the eye candy that Lucia brings us is just as addictive as other more lucrative Colombian exports. Given this, it’s quite likely that Lucia’s fame will grow as more Americans are introduced to her charms.
